Descrizione
Questo pesce raggiunge una lunghezza di 16,8 cm. Attualmente è l'unico membro conosciuto del suo genere. Il nome generico è un sostantivo composto, formato dal cognome Bailey, in onore dell'ittiologo americano Reeve Maclaren Bailey (1911-2011) dell'Università del Michigan, e dallaparola greca chromis che fu usata da Aristotele per un tipo di pesce.
